APPLETON, Wis. (NBC 26) -- It's Take Out Tuesday! A new initiative here at NBC 26 to showcase restaurants that are still serving the public throughout the pandemic.
We're featuring a taste of the Big Apple right here in Appleton. The owner of Bagelicious says he spent time in New York City researching the best bagel. He sells them boiled, not baked for a taste and texture he feels is better than all the rest.
"Most bagels in this area are baked, so they're going to be a little more on the bready side. Ours are kettle boiled, it gives it that outer crust with the soft chewy center," says Bagelicious owner, Kyle Fritz.
"We've really focused on quality products, Boar's head meats and cheeses have no artificial flavors, preservatives, no gluten... so just real natural and real good for you," he adds.
Fritz says his business relies on the 8,000 people who work in downtown Appleton. While Wisconsin follows the Safer At Home Order his business continues to suffer.
"I just really want to say a thank you to everybody that's continued to support us, your business means the world to us all the time, but especially now," Fritz says.
Bagelicious is still open for curbside pick-up, take-out or delivery.
