DENMARK (NBC 26) -- It has been a strange time during the coronavirus outbreak. Even stranger and difficult for many who own, work for or operate a small business.
Ampersand Cake Co. is a new business that would've had its grand opening on March 21st at their location in downtown Denmark. Unfortunately due to the coronavirus and the safer-at-home order that all had to quickly change.
Owner, Jennifer Treu, says it's been a challenge, but she's been doing her very best to navigate through it and the community has been so welcoming and supportive.
One way she's been having fun with her new customers has been with a Cupcake decorating kit. She says she loves how it can be a fun activity for a family and can even work at art class.
Treu tells us she can't be anymore grateful for the support she's received. She hopes to continue doing delivers and having curbside pick-up. Follow Ampersand Cake Co. on Facebook for updates on what's she's offering and how to order.
