Showers arrive today as a strong area of low pressure moves closer. This morning we hit our high temperatures in the low 50s, we will slowly fall throughout the rest of the day to the low 30s overnight. Strong SE/SW winds will gust 30-40 mph throughout the day, putting Lake Michigan in a Gale Warning with 15' waves. In terms of rain, we are looking at around 1/2" - 1" in the Fox Valley, with much less towards the Lakeshore.
Enough cold air will wrap in behind this storm to change the rain showers over to a wintry mix or snow showers on Friday.
Then a cold snap takes over on Friday, lasting throughout the weekend with upper 30s to lower 40s expected. There will be a chance of some snow/mix on Sunday. Some accumulating snow is possible. stay tuned........
