Warmer & Sunnier Week Ahead: NBC 26 Weather Forecast - August 15, 2022 AM

High Pressure builds and blocks off major rain systems this week!
Posted

After a dreary, washout weekend with over 4" of rain accumulating from Menominee to Suamico and into Door Co.... leaving yards flooded and people indoors a majority of the weekend.

Things are finally drying out this week as a high pressure builds in Canada and holds off active weather! A mix of sun and clouds will dominate today, with spotty sprinkle chances into the Northwoods after 2pm. Highs will climb to the mid and upper 70s with a crisp NE winds at 10mph.

Tonight temperatures will fall to the mid and upper 50s under partly cloudy skies.

Tuesday a small warm up enters, boosting highs into the upper 70s and low 80s for the rest of the week! Under mostly sunny skies, we remain mainly dry until Thursday afternoon and into the weekend.

Active stormy and wet weather surges back in, potentially dampening our weekend plans.
