A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from midnight to 6 pm Wednesday. Total snowfall accumulations should be 2-4 inches, with perhaps a few localized areas near 5-6 inches.
We are waking up to the flakes flying already and mild temperatures in the mid 20s... this won't last though!
Strong winds pick up late morning and switch to out of the NW. We could see some gusts approaching 40 mph, causing blowing and drifting of snow accumulations. Temps will plummet all day, to the teens and single digits.
Our Thursday will be cold too, with highs in the upper to lower teens EARLY and falling throughout the day again. This time we drop to below zero... with highs Friday only in the single digits. Stay warm!
Light snow chances for the Northwoods are possible Saturday, alongside mild temps in the 30s.
Then we crash even colder than the rest Monday and Tuesday.
