A chilly weather pattern looks to stay for the next few days so keep those jackets and sweatshirts around.
We have some chilly air this morning with frost and freeze warnings across Northeast and North-Central Wisconsin. Highs will climb up into the lower to mid 60s for highs as an area of high pressure shifts east, allowing a return flow from the south.
This however, will allow the risk of rain showers to return to our area this weekend. Another chance of rain during the weekend seems to be a common trend this summer into the beginning of fall. High temperatures will also run several degrees below normal in the lower to mid 60s.
The coldest air of this cooler than average airmass has yet to arrive and will do so Monday through Wednesday with highs possibly not making it out of the mid to upper 50s.
Long range forecast projections do show however the return of some milder weather in the upper 60s and lower 70s as we round out the end of September and welcome in October.
