It is the last month of meteorological summer and it's not good news if you are hoping for summer to continue for a long time because we are on a downward slope.
We will lose over 80 minutes of sunlight throughout the month and our average high temperature goes from 81 to 77. We do see close to three and a half inches of rainfall for the month.
Today will be breezy with northwest winds around 10-20 mph with skies turning partly cloudy and highs in the lower 80s.
The sun is back Tuesday with highs in the lower 80s.
heat does return Wednesday with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. There will be a fluctuation in high temperatures ranging from the mid 80s to near 90 for the rest of the week
