The Winter Storm has arrived, bringing light snow, sleet and freezing rain late last night. Caused icy and slippery roads this morning, with multiple accidents from black ice. A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until Tuesday at 9pm. An additional round of wintry mix is headed our way after 10am-3pm. Starting as freezing rain, turning to sleet and eventually to snow for the Fox Valley and Lakeshore hometowns. With an additional 1-2" of snow that will pile up on top of a layer of ice. For the Northwoods, another 2-4" is expected this afternoon, for a total near 6-9". This storm will pack a punch of 35mph winds off of the lake, dropping visibility and making it feel quite cold today. Highs will hit the 20's but will feel more like the single digits. Use caution driving, avoid cruise control and pack an emergency kit in your car.
