We are waking up to snow totals ranging from 1-3" across the area. Light freezing drizzle/mist is possible this morning and may create icy slick spots. Sunshine will return today before being replaced by clouds once again this evening. High temperatures for today already hit 26° early, expect plummeting temperatures throughout the day to the teens and single digits overnight. Plus, winds will be breezy out of the west, gusting up to 25mph and will make it a crisp day, feeling more like the single digits. Stay warm!
Highs on Thursday will be back into the upper 20s and low 30s, under mostly cloudy skies.
New Years Eve will be seasonally mild as well with highs in the 20s.
New Years Day will be one to watch since there will be some major accumulating snowfall moving to the Midwest. Exactly where the heaviest snow tracks still remains the question for the time being. We should have a better handle on it within the next couple of days.
Prepare for a cold snap New Years Day reguardless though, as temperatures will crash to near zero overnight and into the teens for highs to follow.
