APPLETON — For the first time since 201 the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers are sending a player to the All-Star Futures game.
Antoine Kelly, the lefty pitcher for the T-Rats is headed to Los Angeles for the big game on July 16.
This year, Kelly is leading the Midwest league in strikeouts with a whopping 100 K's in only 76 innings.
He was selected in the second round of the 2019 MLB draft out of Wabash Valley Community College in Illinois.
The pitcher is finally finding his groove after overcoming thoracic outlet syndrome, which he had surgery for in November of 2020 and he only pitched 19 innings last year.
Kelly is ranked the no. 14 prospect in the Milwaukee Brewers farm system.
