OSHKOSH (NBC 26) — The NBA G League's regular season has been postponed until January 5, according to a statement issued Sunday by the Wisconsin Herd. The league's regular season was originally scheduled to tip off on December 27.
The Wisconsin Herd said the NBA G League announced the postponement on Friday. Information regarding games originally scheduled between December 27 and January 4 will be provided at a later date.
The Wisconsin Herd said the delay will give teams an opportunity to safely return players to market after the Holiday Season and to replenish their rosters following NBA Call-Ups. The Herd said it had five NBA Call-Ups during the Winter Showcase and were scheduled to have one home game and three away games between December 27 and January 4.
According to a statement from the Herd, more information on the originally scheduled Monday, December 27 game versus the Long Island Nets at Oshkosh Arena will be provided at a later date.
The Herd says fans who purchased tickets for the December 27 game will receive seats for the premium NBA G League Ignite exhibition game on Saturday, February 12 at 7 p.m. and won’t be expected to pay the price difference for their inconvenience. For questions, fans should call 920-233-HERD (4373).
The Herd will return to action on Wednesday, January 5 at Oshkosh Arena against the Delaware Blue Coats with tip-off set for 7:00 p.m.
