So, you're telling me there's a chance?
Yes, the Green Bay Packers' odds of making the playoffs are very Jim Carrey "Dumb and Dumber"-inspired, but they are definitely not out of the playoff race.
Incredibly, the Packers do have a chance. But they and a lot of other teams who could help Green Bay have a lot of work to do.
Here's what must happen:
- The Packers must win out: Sunday at Chicago, Dec. 23 at the New York Jets, Dec. 30 vs. Detroit.
- Carolina, Washington and Philadelphia must all lose at least once more this season.
- The loser of the Minnesota-Seattle Monday night game must lose at least two other games.
The odds are long, and none of the help from other teams around the league will matter if the Packers don't win out. But there is a slim bit of a pulse left in Green Bay's hopes for the postseason.
