The US Biathlon tweeted Wednesday morning that the Packers sent personalized jerseys to three Wisconsin-rooted Olympians who compete in the Biathlon: Clare Egan, Paul Schommer, and Deedra Irwin.
Irwin recently made history at the Olympics. A Pulaski native, Irwin made a historic finish in the women’s biathlon in Beijing, coming in 7th place in the 15 KM race, and now has the best individual result for U.S. biathlete in Olympic history. Egan placed 39th in the same event.
The @packers sent personalized jerseys to our three Wisconsin-rooted Olympians — @BiathleteEgan, @pschommer_ & @deedrablu — so we played a little football in the village today! 🏈🇺🇸

Think they'll let us compete in these jerseys in the Olympics this week?!? #GoPackGo pic.twitter.com/pst65xtv42
Appleton native Paul Schommer anchored the United States biathlon team to a 7th place finish in the mixed relay. It was Team USA's highest finish ever in that event, besting an 8th place mark eight years ago in Sochi.
