DE PERE — Packers training camp is right around the corner. On Monday, the Packers and St. Norbert College prepared one of the college's residence halls for Packers players to live in during camp.

Crews spent Monday taking out the furniture that usually goes in the dorms and replacing it with beds and equipment designed to help the players sleep well and be rested for camp. The tradition, which dates back to the days of Vince Lombardi, also allows the team to meet with each other and create a bond before the season begins.

The players will mainly use the dorm rooms for sleeping. They will leave around 5 a.m. every day for camp and return in the evening around 8 p.m.

The Packers team will also have access to a campus dining hall for a late night snack. The move-in is scheduled for next Wednesday.
