GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — Sunday, the Packers announced 6,500 seats would be sold to season ticket holders for next week's NFC Championship game at Lambeau Field.
According to staff, season ticket holders will receive an email Tuesday with more information. Additionally, they said invited frontline workers and first responders will also be in attendance at Sunday's game.
The Packers said local health officials have been working to ensure proper safety protocols are in place for spectators visiting, such as mandatory face coverings at all times and prohibiting tailgating in the parking lots among other precautions.
These protocols have proven to be effective at Lambeau as well as across the NFL as no local COVID-19 case clusters have been traced to NFL games, according to relevant health departments in NFL cities. Through the regular season, the NFL had a total of 109 games with more than 1 million fans in attendance.
