GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — With hopes to go into the bye week with a victory, all eyes were on the Packers game versus the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.
The Rams 7-3 were on a roll until the last two games before their bye a week ago.
As Los Angeles Rams fans gain confidence in their team, Packers fans also hoped for a big win following last week’s loss in Minnesota.
And they did. The Packers pulled through.
There's nothing quite like the feeling of victory as the Green Bay Packers defeated the Los Angeles Rams with a 36 to 28 win.
As fans walked out of Lambeau Field they cheered and chanted celebrating Green Bay's (9-3) record.
"Feeling great, feeling like we got the number one seat locked up. It’s just an easy road to the playoffs. Think we're Super Bowl champs this year. I got a feeling, we got a feeling,” said Nick Penge, a Packers fan.
"Everybody here is having their best day of their life. Look at that guy, that's his best day of his life right now.. And when everyone is having the best day of life. They’re having the best day of their life. Whose not having their best day of their life because the packers are amazing,” said Pete Stauffer, Packers fan.
The positive energy was everywhere.
Fans were relieved the Packers were able to get the win as the team heads into their bye week.
"I was nervous to start. But Rodgers came through, offense came through. We had the pick six,” said Brandon Loritz, Packers fan.
Sunday's game versus the Los Angeles rams proved to be a contentious one with lots of back and forth scoring.
"We have some work to do, all of our opportunities are still in front of us to get the trophy. But once again we have a lot of work to do,” said Bennie woods, Rams fan.
Rams fans said it was the Rams turnovers that cost them.
"They could've played better but hey it was a close game,” said Jen Savard, Rams fan.
But while the away team takes the loss, Packers fans continue to celebrate as they inch one step closer to the Super Bowl.
Kick-off for Sunday’s game was at 3:25 p.m.
