GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — Healthcare workers and first responders will be guests at Saturday's Green Bay Packers game at Lambeau Field, the Packers announced Thursday.

The Packers said they will host approximately 250 frontline workers, including healthcare professionals and first responders, at Saturday night’s game against the Carolina Panthers.

The invitation is a show of appreciation for frontline workers' dedication to the community during the pandemic, the Packers say. The guests will sit in socially distanced pods as part of Lambeau Field’s COVID-19 protocols.

The Packers said in a news release that they worked with the team’s health care partner, Bellin Health, and gameday public safety partners who have employees in these sectors to identify and invite their team members to attend the games.

This group is attending in addition to the Packers’ invited employees and their immediate families who will be present at the game. Lambeau Field is still not introducing a wider audience of ticketed fans at this time as precaution due to the pandemic.
