GREEN BAY, Wis. — The big football at the former site of the Packers Hall of Fame was demolished on Thursday.

According to the Packers website, the old Hall of Fame building was an addition to the Brown County Veterans Arena and dedicated by President Ford in 1976.

The site is now being torn down along with the rest of Brown County Veterans Arena and Shopko Hall. The new Brown County Expo Center will take its place.

The Packers Hall of Fame was relocated in 2003 to the new Lambeau Field Atrium. A new Hall of Fame opened on the first floor in 2015.

The Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame was the first hall of fame built to honor a single professional American football team, the Packers say.
