ATLANTA (NBC 26) — The Milwaukee Bucks are going to the NBA Finals for the first time since the days of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Oscar Robertson.
The Bucks beat the Atlanta Hawks 118-107 in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals to clinch their first conference title since 1974. Milwaukee will now play the Phoenix Suns in the NBA Finals, with a chance to clinch their second championship and first since 1971.
Khris Middleton erupted in the third quarter, scoring 23 of his 32 points in the period to help the Bucks build a big lead. Milwaukee held off a fourth quarter rally from the Hawks to hang on for the win.
