MILWAUKEE -- This year the Milwaukee Brewers came one game shy of a pennant win while also taking the NL Central Division title, led by Christian Yelich who hit two cycles and won the NL MVP award, making 2018 one of the best baseball years in the city's history.
That success did not go unnoticed. The Brewers were named the 2018 Organization of The Year by Baseball America.

“It recognizes the efforts that everyone puts forth daily to create a championship-caliber organization. We're proud of what we have here & look forward to building on the 2018 season,” said General Manager David Stearns.
Sterns, former GM Doug Melvin, who acquired several cornerstone pieces to the current roster, and Craig Counsell were the masterminds behind the team's quick rebuild that lasted just three seasons.
“When I got here, we just became so focused on acquiring, developing and retaining as much talent as we possibly could. That was our focus on every decision," Stearns added.
