No. 4 Neenah upset No. 1 Hortonville Thursday night in the WIAA girls sectional semifinal round following a controversial finish.
With the Polar Bears trailing 62-60, senior guard Kamy Peppler crossed halfcourt and appeared to call for a timeout. The official behind the play called her for a travel instead. After an emotional reaction, Hortonville head coach was called for a technical foul.
Neenah won the game 65-60. Sophomore guard Allie Ziebell led the way with 30 points.
