GREEN BAY, Wis. — The Packers officially announced Alvis Whitted as the new wide receivers coach on Wednesday.
Whitted spent the previous seven seasons as the wide receivers coach at Colorado State University where me mentored three All-American wide receivers (Michael Gallup, Rashard Higgins and Preston Williams). Prior to his coaching career, Whitted played nine seasons in the NFL as a wide receiver. He spent time with both the Jacksonville Jaguars and Oakland Raiders. During his time in Jacksonville, former Packers defensive coordinator Dom Capers served as an assistant coach.
