GREEN BAY — The article that was heard around the NFL now has Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers ticked off and firing back.

In an interview with ESPN Milwaukee's "Wilde and Tausch," Rodgers called out Tyler Dunne, the Bleacher Report author who wrote the article regarding the situation between himself and former coach Mike McCarthy.

"It's not a mystery. This was a smear attack by a writer looking to advance his career, talking with mostly irrelevant, bitter players who all have an agenda, whether they're advancing their own careers or trying to just stir stuff up," Rodgers said.

It appears that Rodgers has also had enough of former teammates Greg Jennings and Jermichael Finley, two of his top targets from years ago.

"Every time there's something about me, it's the same two guys. I was 15 feet away in the locker room from you for years," Rodgers added.

As for the situations regarding him and McCarthy, Rodgers denied the way the two handled the disagreements.

"The way Mike and I dealt with these issues was face to face."

"Even at the most difficult moments, when I was stubborn about something, or he was stubborn about something, the conversation ended the same way every time. We came to an agreement, and we agreed to move forward together on the same page," Rodgers concluded.

With Rodgers denying the allegations, some of his teammates backing him up, some of them not, the question of who to believe is a difficult one.

"This idea that I had this grudge against him for years is absolutely ridiculous....where was that grudge when we won 19 games in a row?"

New head coach Matt LaFleur will now have to do his best to navigate this team through the drama that has engulfed 1265 Lombardi Ave.
