The Green Bay Packers have selected CB Jaire Alexander of Louisville with their first overall pick, trading back up in the first-round to pick 18 to grab him.
“Jaire is a guy we’ve targeted all along. We’ve like him from the outset.” - Jon-Eric Sullivan, @packers Director of College Scouting.

Jaire Alexander's 2017 campaign was hampered by a knee injury in the season opener. He played in six games, notching 19 tackles and a pick.
“He was nicked up. That happens.”

In 2016, he started all 13 games, leading the team with 5 picks and putting up 39 tackles and a forced fumble.
Alexander is now the second CB taken overall in the #NFLDraft. He's 5-foot-11, 192 pounds, which is a little smaller than #Packers typically like at corner. Currently, three corners on their roster are all 5-11: Tramon Williams, Demetri Goodson and Quinten Rollins.
