Ex-Packers Keith McKenzie, Brandon Jackson to return for season finale

GREEN BAY, Wis. — Former Packers players Keith McKenzie and Brandon Jackson are the featured alumni for Sunday’s game against the Detroit Lions.

McKenzie and Jackson will sign autographs and visit with fans from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Lambeau Field Atrium, according to a news release.

McKenzie, who was selected in the seventh round of the 1996 NFL Draft from Ball State, will mingle with fans and sign autographs at surprise locations around Lambeau Field from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Sunday.

He played for Green Bay from 1996 to ‘99 and in 2002. McKenzie, a defensive end, played in 62 games for the Packers, totaling 18.5 sacks and 74 tackles. He recorded eight fumble recoveries and returned three for touchdowns. McKenzie played a vital role on special teams, making a key block on Desmond Howard’s game-clinching kick-return TD in Green Bay’s Super Bowl XXXI victory.

Jackson, who was selected in the second round of the 2007 NFL Draft from Nebraska, played running back for Green Bay from 2007 to ‘10. He was the team’s primary ball carrier in 2010 during the Super Bowl XLV-winning season, rushing for 731 yards in 20 games.

During his 52-game Packers career, Jackson was a reliable pass protector and pass catcher out of the backfield, totaling 1,329 rushing yards and 844 receiving yards.
