DETROIT — Former Packer Mike Daniels, who was released by the team on Wednesday, bid farewell to former teammates and fans Saturday in an emotional Instagram post.
"I’ll never forget the day I received the call, the excitement of my first training camp, my first NFL game, tackle, sack, and even my Lambeau Leap," Daniels said. "Green Bay will always hold a special place in my heart: from football, to the numerous community interactions."
Daniels also thanked Packers fans for "filling Lambeau with the most amazing energy."
Daniels, who played seven seasons for the Packers, signed with the Detroit Lions on Friday.
