Covid-19 has had a large impact on sports athletes across the world, but for a Wisconsin swim team, their head coach believes it actually worked in their favor.
"I think its one of the best things to happen to us. For our swimmers and team we took this obstacle we didn't let it stop us," Melissa Wolf said.
One of the biggest challenges The Mid-Wisconsin Wave Makers faced was finding a place to train.
"We spent all summer and fall and winter and spring finding any pool anywhere in Wisconsin. We swam as far as Wausau and we swam as south as Brown Deer," Wolf said.
The Wave-Makers settled at Seymour High School, but for a pair of their athletes, it's a little further than just a down and back.
"I always end up looking forward to the days I can come down here. If I'm not with them, I'm by myself or with my sister so its a long drive two hours, but it's so worth it," Malia Francis said.
