VILLAGE OF MOUNT HOREB, WIS — For over 30 years the Village of Mount Horeb has been surprising people passing through their town with the abundance of wooden trolls that riddle their community. Originally the trolls started popping up in the mid 1980's, after the DOT created an alternative bypass route for travelers. That's when folks in Mount Horeb decided to create a tourist attraction to bring the traffic back, and it worked. Today there are nearly 40 trolls scattered throughout the community and visitors seem to really enjoy it. In this edition of Small Towns we take a look at what the addition of trolls has done for the community.
