APPLETON, Wis. — The Appleton area is ready to celebrate the Fourth of July in full patriotic style!

The Appleton Area Jaycees put on the celebration turned fundraiser every year at Memorial Park in Appleton.

All of the proceeds benefit community-based programming put on by the Appleton Area Jaycees and also help fund the Christmas shopping for underprivileged people in the community.

The party gets started at 4 p.m. with a children's area for games, bounce house and face painting. There will be food and beverages for sale from 4 p.m. until 11 p.m. The opening band, Polar Vortex, kicks off at 4:30 p.m. The headliner band, Boogie and the Yo-Yo'z will play from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and the fireworks will fill the sky right after!
