OSHKOSH (NBC 26) — University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Chancellor Andrew Leavitt stated that UWO will retain custodial and ground services.

Leavitt informed employees and students today in a meeting that the university was not going to pursue a proposal to outsource the university's custodial and grounds services.

The original proposal was to sign up with a Tennessee-based company for custodial and ground services. This prompted backlash and a protest on campus last week involving
about two dozen professors, staff and students.

Leavitt stated that this new decision was "in the best interest of the university."
