GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — Fresh food, kind people. That’s the motto of The Fresh Kind Kitchen, the newest addition to Green Bay's downtown. The restaurant is focused on serving big flavors in a healthy way, serving bowls and salads with tastes inspired by different parts of the world.

“We really wanted to bring something to the area that was really fresh, vibrant, and really healthy for everyone in Green Bay,” said co-owner Caleb Suda.

Fresh Kind Kitchen was created with the goal of providing healthy food options in a fast casual setting, something owners noticed was largely missing from Green Bay’s downtown.

“They’re looking to serve a need downtown that currently isn’t being filled," said general manager Lindsay Wozniczka. "If you’re looking for lunch downtown it’s really hard to find something that’s healthy, something that’s fast that you can get on a 30 or 45 minute lunch break and get back to work.”

The restaurant values the quality of its ingredients above all else and plans to use locally sourced ingredients whenever possible.

“We are working with local vendors as much as possible and especially during those seasonal times where we’re going to have that amazing produce coming from Wisconsin soil, we're definitely going to source that,” Suda said.

In addition, the restaurant aims to be environmentally conscious, using sustainable packaging and avoiding single-use plastic whenever possible. With such a diverse range of flavors, there's something for everyone on their menu.

"We have a Mexican inspired bowl, we have a Mediterranean inspired bowl, North African, so we’re really hitting all kinds of interesting flavors where you could eat here everyday and have something different,” Wozniczka said.

The restaurant plans to open in mid-to-late January. For updates, you can follow the Fresh Kind Kitchen Facebook and Instagram pages or learn more here.
