The fourth annual Ugly Sweater 5k Run/Walk will be held Saturday, November 12 at 8 a.m. It starts and finishes at Baymont Inn-Manitowoc Lakefront Hotel and goes along the Mariners Trail.
This year the organizers have added a 10k distance to it.
The Ugly Sweater Run is a fun way to kick off the holiday season. You can register as an individual or a team of 5 or more for a reduced rate. Special prizes for the male/female, adult/youth and teams with ugliest sweaters are awarded prizes along with the traditional age group winners. Show your most creative ugly creation or just pull a sweater out of the closet. The Ugly Sweater contest is judged by the audience response. Santa will be there too!
To preregister go to active.com and type in Ugly Sweater Run – Manitowoc or download a registration form at dutriun.com. Pre-registration pick up or to register will be at the Baymont Inn and Suites-Manitowoc Lakefront Hotel 5-8 p.m. Friday, November and the day of the event 7 - 8 a.m. The silent auction items will be available during this time also.
The Autism Society of the Lakeshore(ASL) is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization chartered by the Autism Society of America in 1996.
