A Fox Valley native is helping with Military Makeover, a Lifetime series that aims to remodel homes for men and women serving in the military.

Karen Zackrzewicz runs a junk removal service operated by veterans. She lives down in Fox Valley and she says she was destined to life a life of service.

Her entire family served in various branches of the military and she thought she would do the same. She was a health technician for the Army Reserves and she aims to help other service men and women.

"You know these are sisters and brothers in arms who have come about hard times or have been dealing with some heavy personal stuff, and so being able to help them in any shape or form is really rewarding," says Zackrzewicz.

The show, which helps veterans with home makeovers, airs Friday.
