Clintonville city leaders are asking folks not to flush disposable wipes down the toilet.
They posted photos on Facebook of the large pile of wipes they found during last week's cleaning of the oxidation ditch.
Staff members said the pile of wipes was so large crews had to take a skid steer down to push the wipes where they could be sucked out.
Leaders said this is a very costly problem for the city or anyone who has sewer services in the city.
They said they have to wrap around pipes and other moving equipment and could possibly break something expensive or vital to the operation of the wastewater treatment plant.
Officials said the system cannot process sanitary and baby wipes so remember "No wipes in the pipes."
