Three people were injured, two seriously, in a semi vs. car crash in Outagamie County Thursday morning.

Deputies were called to the intersection of County Highway F and State Highway 47 in the Town of Cicero just before 8:30 a.m. September 28 for a report of a crash.

A car with two women inside failed to stop at a stop sign and pulled in front of a southbound semi on STH 47, deputies said.

The driver of the car, a 21-year-old Clintonville woman, suffered life-threatening injuries and had to be extricated. Her passenger, a 26-year-old Clintonville woman, also suffered life-threatening injuries, according to deputies.

They are both in stable condition and are expected to live, deputies said.

The semi driver, a 61-year-old man from Ontario, Canada, was hurt and taken to a local hospital.

State Highway 47 will be closed until about 3 p.m. while the scene is cleared and the crash is investigated.
