Riverside Meats issues recall of polish sausage

WISCONSIN (NBC 26) — Riverside Meats, based in Waukesha, is issuing a Class II recall for their smoked hot Polish sausage that is sold at stores throughout Wisconsin.

Recalled products include Smoked hot Polish sausage, 10-lb. boxes, including a packaging date on or before July 27, 2022.

The recall was initiated based on proof from inspectors that the product was misbranded and produced without an approved formula.

Consumers who have this product should discard it immediately.

A Class II recall indicates that the product imposes a health hazard situation where there is a remote probability of adverse health consequences from the use of the product.

No illnesses have been reported at this time as a result of consuming the product.

Anyone with signs or symptoms of a foodborne illness should contact their doctor.
