ANTIGO (NBC 26) -- The Antigo Police Department announced Tuesday that they conducted a new search in connection to missing teenager Kayla Berg.

The search took place over the weekend in the Nicolet National Forest in eastern Langlade County. Police say seven K9 teams participated in the search, which covered about 11 square miles in the forest. Antigo Police, Landlade County Sheriff's Department, Oconto County Sheriff's Department, and the National Forest Service took part in the search effort.

Police say investigators chose the search area based on information gathered in the investigation into Berg's disappearance. Police stated this new search didn't reveal any new information.
