Several cities throughout Northeast Wisconsin have declared a snow emergency for this weekend.

When a snow emergency is in effect, parking on any city streets is prohibited so road crews can plow the roads.

The Village of Black Creek has one in effect from 6 p.m. Saturday until noon on Sunday.

The City of Green Bay has one in effect now and it runs through 5 a.m. Monday.

Shawano is under a snow emergency until 6 a.m. Monday.

Ashwaubenon's snow emergency went into effect at 7 a.m. Saturday and it will last until 7 a.m. on Monday.

Suamico, Bellevue and New London have snow emergencies in effect until 7 a.m. Monday.

The Village of Howard's snow emergency goes into effect at noon Saturday and it runs through noon on Monday.

The Brown County Sheriff's Office is also advising everyone to stay home and not travel for Saturday. They say most roadways in the county are impassable at this time, due to heavy snow and high winds.

Deputies say they need to keep roads open for emergency vehicles only. They say many vehicles are already stuck in the snow, preventing the plows from clearing the roads.
