UPDATE: The deceased driver of the car has been identified as 20-year-old Samuel D. Peterson of Shawano.

SHAWANO COUNTY, Wis-- Crews responded to a fatal semi vs car crash around 6:00 a.m. on Thursday. The crash happened on Highway 117, and County Road E closing both northbound lanes in the Cecil area.
Initial reports show a 20 year old Shawno man failed to stop for a stop sign and was hit by a semi driven by a 44 year old Green Bay man. The 20 year old was pronounced dead by the Shawano Co. Coroner. The semi driver was taken to the hospital for non life threatening injuries.
