GREEN BAY (NBC 26) -- Words teachers use to describe one Green Bay student include “inspirational” and a “super star”.
His perfect score on the ACT, taking college courses, and almost a dozen advanced classes are only the beginning. Those who know the senior at Southwest High School, Ben Fredeen, say he's humble and has a big heart.
An aspiring pre-med student, his college aspirations include the likes of Yale, Penn State, Brown University and UW Madison. These goals Fredeen credits his teachers and his parents. Involved in several sports, too, Fredeen says he made sure to enjoy his time in high school as well, but never keeping his eye away from his goals.
Who knows? "Doctor Fredeen" could one day save your lives, and it all happened with the help of teachers a pen/paper and a drive to want to be successful.
