Posted

Heather Zelzer, a counselor at Franklin Middle School wanted to help her mother in law, who was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer.

"After her first round of chemo she had to shave her head, so it got me thinking of supporting her," said Zelzer.

That's when Zelzer decided to shave her own head, in front of the entire school.

She wanted to also teacher her students, the mission goes beyond raising money.

Her message even motivating some students to shave their own head, like 7th grader Taylor Guyer.

"Giving something from me to them, I chose to do it in front of the whole school because you only live once," said Guyer.

Guyer, a 12 year old with a heart to share her compassion with others, and with the help of thoughtful teachers.
