Two people are dead after a crash in Oneida.

Outagamie County Sherriff’s Deputies tell NBC26 the crash happened just after 3:00 p.m. at the intersection of CTH E at CTH EE in the Town of Oneida.

Deputies say a four door Mercury Marquis driven by a 91 year old man from the Town of Oneida was northbound on CTH E.  The vehicle stopped at the 4-way stop sign and entered the intersection.  A dump truck towing a dual axle trailer was westbound on CTH EE and failed to stop at the stop sign.  The dump truck, owned by a tree service from Appleton, hit the car on the passenger side.

Both vehicles entered a field in the northwest corner of the intersection where the dump truck overturned on its side.  The 91 year-old driver of the car and a 56 year-old female passenger died at the scene.

The 40 year-old male driver of the dump truck was transported to a Green Bay hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation of the crash is continuing.  The Outagamie County Sheriff’s Department was assisted on scene by the Wisconsin State Patrol, Oneida Police Department, Oneida and Freedom Fire, an Oneida First Responders.
