One of the "Monfils 6" will soon be a free man.

The Wisconsin Department of Corrections has granted parole to Michael Hirn.

Hirn has spent more than 23 years in prison for the murder of his co-worker Tom Monfils. Monfils was found dead in a vat at the James River Paper Mill in Green Bay back in 1992.

In addition to Hirn, five other men were convicted. One had their conviction overturned.

Hirn will be released from prison later this month.
