According to NBC Sports, Packers GM Brian Gutekunst expects a new contract with QB Aaron Rodgers will get done "soon."
Gutekunst said this morning on NBC Sports' "Pro Football Talk Live" that both sides are working towards an agreement.
“We’re pretty confident that this is something that’s taking its normal course, its normal time,” Gutekunst told NBC Sports.
Rodgers has two years and $42 million left on his current deal, averaging about $21 million per year.
Recent quarterback contracts for Atlanta's Matt Ryan and Minnesota's Kirk Cousins have surpassed Rodgers' current deal.
Gutekunst told "PFT Live" that both sides might wait to see what other quarterback deals come through to examine how those deals are structured.
