A man accused of watching a 13-year-old shower through a window appeared in court in Outagamie County Tuesday morning.

Joseph Williams, 42 of Kimberly is accused of walking up to several homes and trying to look inside near Brookhaven drive in Buchanan, according to a criminal complaint.

In early January, a homeowner gave a video to Outagamie County deputies of a man walking up to windows.

Those deputies say catches it catches Williams red-handed.

Williams maintains his innocence, pleading not guilty to invading privacy with a victim who's younger than 18.

Williams’s attorney also asked for him to be released on a signature bond, meaning he wouldn’t have to pay anything to get out of jail until the trial.

“My concern still remains regarding the failure to either appear in the past or the fugitive, where he had to be extradited back to wisconsin, so i think there is some risk that he may not appear for future court appearances,” said Nancy Krueger, Outagamie County judge.

The judge agreed, however, to lower the cash bond from $10,000-to-$2,000.

If found guilty, Williams faces three-and-a-half years in prison and a 10 thousand dollar fine.

He’s scheduled to be back in court on April 3.
