OSHKOSH — Women of NASA visited the 2019 EAA AirVenture on Friday and held a forum talking about their experiences working for the organization.
The Women of NASA Forum featured five different women from different ages, cultures and educational backgrounds.
They spoke about their passion, hardships and work-life balance.
"I made the change of working in the aircraft side of the house to the space side of the house, so my husband and I were not on travel at the same time, and we were able to work the career opportunities in parallel without having issues at home," explained Mary Beth Wusk, NASA Deputy Director of Strategy and Communications.
The women are encouraging others, especially young women, to join them in their groundbreaking efforts.
