FOX CROSSING (NBC 26) — A woman was stabbed to death in a Fox Crossing apartment Sunday, according to police.
Fox Crossing Police Department issued a statement Monday, saying police responded Sunday evening at about 6:43 p.m. to an address in the 1100 block of Valley Road, for a 9-1-1 hang-up call. While en route, officers were updated that the caller was now stating someone had killed his girlfriend.
When officers arrived at the scene, they were met by a 26-year-old man stating that someone came into his apartment and stabbed his 30-year-old live-in girlfriend and killed her.
Police found the woman in the apartment, unresponsive. While attempts were made to save her life, police said she succumbed to her injuries. The Wisconsin Crime Lab was contacted and responded to assist with the investigation, along with State Patrol.
The man was taken to St. Elizabeth’s hospital for wounds he had sustained during the incident. No arrests have been made at this time. The scene is still active and the investigation is ongoing.
