APPLETON (NBC 26) — On Sunday, theTesla Club-WI, an officially recognized Tesla Corp. owner’s club, hosted their fall meet-up at the Bubolz Nature Center.
The Tesla Club is a community of owners and enthusiasts committed to advancing Tesla's mission to accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy.
Event organizers expected 150 to 200 owners and families, in over 60 Tesla cars that span the model years 2012-2021.
“The really neat thing about Tesla is not just the amazing technology in the vehicles but it’s the community that brings together. Very much like-minded people, very interested in the technology and what they’re trying to do," said Mike Klimkosky, the Tesla Club Wisconsin President.
The family-friendly event is aimed to bring owners together to celebrate Tesla and its mission to make a better planet.
On Sunday they will also be featuring the newest Plaid model, which can accelerate 0 – 60 mph faster than any other production car ever (1.9 sec).
Additionally, those there will be able to experience the first production cars with Full Self Driving software.
Tesla recently released a beta version of software 10.2, which includes the first broad release of a car that literally drives itself.
