A Wisconsin farm is focusing on a message of suicide prevention, dedicating the design of an annual tradition to a message of hope.
The Govin Meats & Berries Farm in Menomonie, WI designs a special corn maze every year that has become a popular attraction for residents of the Chippewa Valley.
The family owned business posted an image of a new maze design to Facebook, sharing the message "your life matters," along with the Suicide Prevention line telephone number.
"We have always picked a theme that has meaning to our family and this year suicide was something we unfortunately had to face and learn about," the company said in the post.
The 11 acre maze is set to open in September.
The Suicide Prevention telephone line is available 24 hours a day at 1-800-273-8255.
