GREEN BAY (NBC26) — Election officials strongly encourage you wear a mask while waiting and voting, but it’s actually not a requirement.

“I can’t deny someone their right to vote by not wearing a mask," said Patrick Moynihan, Ashwaubenon village clerk.

Municipalities are still taking steps to avoid the spread of COVID-19 while people are early voting, said Moynihan.

“We all have our PPE, masks, gloves," he said. "It’s going quite well.”

Ashwaubenon has lines drawn on the ground showing people where to stand to stay socially distanced from one another, and workers help steer traffic in and out of the building.

If you didn't get a chance to vote yet this week, you still have eight more days to get it done.
